White lights, whether automobile head lights, automobile running lights, automobile interior lights, flash lights, camping lanterns, etc., are strictly prohibited unless covered with red filters.

NO CHARCOAL OR WOOD COOKING FIRES OF ANY KIND. Propane grills are permitted but must be attended while lit. Cigarettes must be field stripped. Autumn fire hazard must be controlled.

Port-A-Potties are distributed about the observing field and the dining area. Please use them.

Blue Trash Containers are distributed throughout the Astrofest site. Please use them.

No Loud Music At Any Time. All music is prohibited from dusk to 9:00 a.m.

Alcohol is prohibited on the Astrofest Site!
Alcohol significantly increases the likelihood of accidents and altercations. Anyone deemed inebriated by security will be removed from the site.

The Astrofest Committee will act promptly to the best of their ability to protect the interests of Astrofest participants, Vana’s Farm, Chicago Astronomical Society and the public welfare when and where those interests are perceived to be threatened or endangered. All Astrofest participants must comport themselves by conforming to these rules.
